On Sunday we took our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their Families to see their local ice hockey team (The Leeds Knights) in action at their Elland Road Home, The Castle. The Knights are current back to back Planet Ice NIHL National Division Champions and are currently in 2nd place in the league as they approach the business end of the season.
The Match was a really exciting one against 3rd Place Swindon Wildcats featuring Goals, Fights (only the players thankfully) and puck chucking before the Knights emerged victorious with a 4-2 victory. Our group had a brilliant time. Some of our Young People were watching Ice Hockey for the first time and lots of them have already asked to go back again to another game soon. Good Luck to the Knights for the rest of the season!
