At the end of last year we became aware that 2 of our Cubs were going above and beyond to live our Scouting Values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief, and Cooperation.
William, Issac and their family have been providing respite care for another young person with complex mobility, nutrition and communication needs for more than 3 years, Although this is a whole family endeavour it would not be possible without the support and compassion of Issac and William.
We are so proud of them both and were delighted when Alex Mutch the Shire Oak District Lead Volunteer agreed that the boys both deserved to be awarded with a District Commissioner Commendation (the first ones Alex has issued since being DLV)
Alex attended our recent Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs Birthday Camp to award them both with the commendation which included a certificate and special cloth badge for their uniform.
Well done Isaac and William we are so proud of you.
