I’m a manager at a software development company, where I’m passionate about building digital tools that are easy to use. I’ve been Joint Group Lead Volunteer since 2024. I also volunteer with the Squirrels and Beavers sections, and at a local Scout water activity centre.

TrusteeHow the board works
Every Scout group is a charity, and its Trustee Board is responsible for it. Our trustees make sure 7th Airedale is run safely and legally, look after our money, our hut and our equipment, and support our volunteers so they can concentrate on the young people.
At the heart of the board's role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance: planning for the group's future, checking we're doing what we set out to do, and making sure the right policies and checks are in place.
Trustees are volunteers. Some are elected at our Annual General Meeting, some are nominated or co-opted, and some, like our Group Lead Volunteers, are trustees because of their role. The board meets several times a year.
